Prayer
Have you ever wondered, why we close our eyes when we pray, cry, kiss and dream? Well maybe it's because the most beautiful things in life are not seen, but felt only by heart.
Lately, I have been thinking about prayer, what is prayer? Why do I need to pray? How many ways are there to pray?
Prayer means to communicate with God and we all know communication is a two way street, we have to convey our message but also we have to listen to his message for us. I still have questions though, why do I need to pray? God knows everything already, what could I possibly add or say, he is in control of all things, well let me share. First, we are God's children and he loves to hear from us. Secondly, we deepen our trust in God. Thirdly, we start to depend more on God. Fourthly, we have the opportunity to express ourselves, be honest and truthful to the Lord, if I am going to walk with Jesus, I need to learn and to practice talking to him daily. Fifthly, our prayers move the heart of our God. Sixthly, it's an amazing way that we get to know and understand what God's plans are for our lives and the whole world. Seventhly, we need to pray through adoration, praying for who he is, not of what he gives us and we need to pray through thanks giving, thanking God, for all the people who care for us and loves us.
"Everyone of us needs half an hour of prayer each day, except when we are busy then we need an hour." St Francis De Sales.
Now, how many ways are there to pray? Too many, so many prayers and so many different ways to express our prayers for example: keeping a journal, take a prayer walk, pray over your calendar and schedule, pray scripture, pray about the news, partner up with someone, be quiet, keep a prayer on your lips, there is also those unexpected ways to pray: listening to a podcast, music, serving the poor and vulnerable or maybe taking a walk in nature and there is simple ways, such as: saying good morning to the Lord, share your needs, thanking God all day long, praise God for his character, repent as the Spirit convicts you, make appeals to the Lord, think about the Lord, sing to God, listen to his voice and say good night. Some different ways we can pray is by sitting, standing, walking, bowing, hands up, kneeling and prostrate.
If you are like me and can't pray or be in the moment, pray anyway, choose to listen, just say his name, have a go to prayer, say a prayer or praise, pray for someone else, pray for a heart of prayer, have someone pray for you, read different prayer, pray different bible verses over your life.
Prayer is one of the leading pastimes, in self reflection and gratitude and prayer can be a fundamental skill if one wishes to grow spiritually. Prayer can give us a better sense of self, it can be good for our hearts, increase life span, improves our attitude, helps us to be humble, we can gain forgiveness, prayer gives us hope, relives stress, we have a stronger mindset, prayer helps with recovery, it's a way to deal with the aftermath and keeps one's faith and prayer helps us to maintain a positive outlook on life.
"God speaks in the silence of the heart listening is the beginning of prayer." Mother Teresa.
Women of Faith and Hope, like the rolling stones song, "You don't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you will get what you need." and it's the same with prayer, I ask for strength, and God gives me difficulties to make me strong, I ask for love and God gives me troubled people to help. I might not receive the things I want instead, I receive everything I need, so pray and trust in God.

Peace
Twenty third day of advent
This Advent let us call on the Holy Spirit of Peace, to settle within our hearts. Women of Faith and Hope do not be afraid, our God is not a God of disorder, but of peace, trust in his words, keep your minds steadfast and you will find yourself in perfect peace. Remember John 14:27 “Peace I bequeath to you, my own peace I give you, a peace the world cannot give, this my gift to you. Do no let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”
God Bless always

What is Love to you?
I believe, I have said it before, "Home is where the heart is." Therefore where my heart is, my love follows. Mother Teresa, Her Essential Wisdom. 'The fulness of our heart is expressed in our eyes, in our touch, in what we write, in what we say, in the way we walk, the way we receive, the way we serve. That is the fullness of our heart expressing itself in many different ways.'
God Bless Always 🌷💟
Love
Mother Teresa Her essential wisdom “We have to love until it hurts, it is not enough to say, “I Love.” We must put that love into a living action. And how do we do that? By giving until it hurts.”
With Faith in Christ and in each other, we can pledge our love today, tomorrow and always. May we always live our lives bearing witness to the most holy love of all. Love to me is listening without interrupting, speaking without accusing, giving without sparing, praying without ceasing, answer without arguing, sharing without pretending, enjoy without complaint, trust without wavering, forgive without punishing and promise without forgetting.
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, God Bless Always💟🙏🌷
A Creative Woman & Mother.
Mother Teresa, Her Essential Wisdom: "Mother's make the home a center of love, their role is sometimes hard, but there is the example of the Blessed Virgin, who teaches us to be good with our Children, we missionaries of charity also have to be Mothers and make our communities happy homes." 🙏🌷💟
God Bless Always, women of Faith and Hope.

Gift Giving
Thirteenth day of Advent
Gift Giving,
“Jesus best gift ever.”
This time of year, I do love. I do however hate the shops especially the carpark but If I am not driving it’s a different story, I love the shops. Ha-ha. I love the build up to it, the different activities, Church, markets, movies, Christmas lights and the wonderful Christmas parades and all the Christmas parties and get togethers and the carols which are my favorite and my list goes on, I love the big red poinciana tress and the smell of ripe mangoes and the cold air that blows from the air conditioner. The one thing though, that I struggle with the most is giving gifts but when I think about the greatest gift I can give someone, it is my time, attention, love and concern, and I am going to challenge myself and I put this out to you all as a challenge because no doubt, we will end up a little frustrated, annoyed, stressed because it is a busy time of year, so simply follow this quote by Mother Teressa, “Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.” We are giving a gift of love with no obligations, no strings attached, it’s a gift that we can give from our hearts, a gift that makes a difference in someone’s life or our own life, smiles are contiguous, and more smiles should be freely given out, especially this time of year. It is a time to bring the magic of Christmas and be that special gift for someone.
‘What can I give, poor as I am? If I was a Shepherd, I would give you a lamb. If I was a wise man, I would do my part. But what I can give, I give from my heart.’
God Bless Always 🙏🎁💚❤️

I choose joy in the Lord
We choose to be joyful and it's a choice we should keep choosing everyday. So much beauty surrounds us, how often do we stop and take the time to notice?
In this weeks readings and gospels, I feel God is asking us to make a choice, we either make the choice to cry out for help 'Lord, come save us,' or we joyfully praise and glorify. I have to be honest, I feel like doing both, especially when past emotions and moments arise. I truly do believe you can't change the past or run from the past, however I feel though you can learn from the past, so it can shape you and help you grow into a strong woman who is able to handle present moments that are full of disappointment, impairment or heartache. It also prepares us for the future and as Women of Faith and Hope, we need not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things.
May our hearts be filled with great joy.

St Nicholas
Sixth Day of Advent
St Nicholas
Acts 20:35 I did this to show you that this is how we must exert ourselves to support the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus, who himself said, “there is more happiness in giving than in receiving.”
Today, we remember St Nicholas or as we all know him to be as Santa Claus. Santa Claus, who was Sinterklaas (St Nicholas), rode a white horse and today he rides in a magical sleigh drawn by special reindeer. St Nicholas is a patron saint of children and a magical gift bringer. He symbolizes generosity and good will. Sinterklaas is Dutch for saint Nicholas, who was a kindly bishop of 4th century Myra, which is now found in Turkey.
I did little research and I found that, The Night Before Christmas written by: Clement C. Moore, was the first introduction to Santa Claus because originally he was writing about St Nicholas (Sinterklaas.) I wanted to make sure I had my facts right and so I went to Book Face at Orion and I saw this beautiful book and noticed the clear writing on the front page saying Clement C. Moore, The Night Before Christmas or originally, A visit from St Nicholas.
Women of Faith and Hope, may we mimic his giving actions by grace, spreading, advent joy and hope.🙏🎅
May God Bless Always

Are your eyes on Jesus?
‘Fix your eyes on Jesus.’
Psalm 62:3 So I gaze on you in the sanctuary to see your strength and your glory.
When you look at me, with your merciful gaze, Jesus, I weep, and you whisper. “I am going to make all things new.” As a mother, woman, I weep for myself, my children and the whole world. I have taken a huge leap on my spiritual journey and I feel though some get it wrong. My intention in starting this group and my blog was not to be noticed. It was God, asking me to be useful and to create a life with me. Through the sorrows and trials that come my way, I made the choice and became useful. I was made by God like everyone else and therefore, I am alive for a purpose. It takes persistence, perseverance through prayer and to simply do what God says and to wait upon him until he brings things to pass. So simply we must be ourselves, as God made us, mold our lives to reflect him and Psalms 104:4 Consider the Lord and his strength, constantly seek his face. Romans 12:2 Do not model yourselves on the behavior of the world around you, but let your behavior change, modelled by your new mind, this is the only way to discover the will of God and know what is good, what it is that God wants, what is the perfect thing to do.
This Sunday is our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe Solemnity and we celebrate the head of our church. Women of Faith and Hope let us pray, for our most sweet Jesus, redeemer of the whole entire human race, to look down upon us and to turn his eyes of mercy toward us all.
‘I might be quiet, but I am a warrior and my prayers can move mountains.’
I hope you are all having a great week.
God Bless Always

Words
‘She is a breath of the Power of God.’
Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God remains forever.
The fire in your heart is dwindling. I see your passion, your desire. My eyes adore you and I can’t take my eyes off you. Your soul, heart and mind are calling. Set, your heart on fire, sing a new song to the LORD, and spread his words. The word is alive and will live on forever. The word became flesh and is living amongst us. We saw his glory, we all know of his glory and isn’t it ironic that his glory is to be found in suffering and humiliation. However, the word is also full of grace and truth. So, rejoice! ‘Sing psalms to the Lord with the harp, with the sound of music, with trumpets and the sound of the horn, acclaim the King, the Lord. Psalm 97:5-6
I like this quote from Augustine of Hippo,
“Come, Lord, stir us up and call us back, kindle and seize us. Be our
fire and our sweetness. Let us love, let us run.”
I know this world can sometimes bring us down and I am not going to lie, knowing what happens within my Church, Parish or any Christian church, can be discouraging and I honestly have no more words, no one ever changes or grows in themselves or in Christ. I pray though and I always keep my faith and hope strong for maybe one day soon a miracle will happen. So I have a message, If you feel persecuted, imprisoned, injustice, not good enough, or not worthy all because of Jesus Christ, our Lord, God’s name, remember, you don’t have to prepare your defense, because he, himself will give us an eloquence and a wisdom that our opponents will not see coming. Our endurance and perseverance will win our lives.
You are invited, you are ready and it’s your time. You never have to be anyone but yourself because it is time to be who we feel we are. Who are we though? Are we an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor or Teacher? Whoever, we feel God our creator calls us to be, we are to work together in unity to build up the ‘Body of Christ,’ we are not called to tear the ‘Body of Christ,’ down, but to build it up and set hearts, souls and minds on fire.
Women of Faith and Hope, the word became flesh when Jesus was born in a manger, God spoke through Jesus for us to know him, to love him, to know the truth and to know he is the way and the life. Rejoice!
God Bless Always
I hope you are all having a great week. It was the last Sisterhood for the year, and it was an amazing celebration. I will be going along to it next year and I invite you all to come or to seek another Sisterhood closer to your home. It’s so nice to be able to talk and listen and share my faith and hopes in a lively way. Even though my dream would be to bring this to my own Parish because it fits with their vision, bringing people to Christ, changing lives. Unfortunately, it’s probably known has a crazy idea and I can only hope that maybe one day soon, because so many women need support, encouragement. Compassion, understanding, love and something to look forward to every week, making a commitment to themselves because life is so precious.

My Shepherd
Luke 12:32
‘There is no need to be afraid, little flock, for it has pleased your Father to give you the Kingdom.’
‘My
Shepherd would lay down his life for me.
My
Shepherd knows me.
My
Shepherd loves me.
My
Shepherd would dance and rejoice for me.’
In life, there are moments that make us and that will set the course of who we are. Sometimes, these moments are small and sometimes they are not. Lately, I have been thinking about attitude, choices and change and how we respond in our circumstances. We have a choice of how we respond, do we respond with a negative attitude or do we respond with a positive attitude? Sometimes it’s hard to see the change coming, we don’t ask for our lives to change, but it does. Big moments will come, and we can’t help that, and I guess it’s a question of how we respond and that’s where we find out who we truly are. What I have learnt is to self-care, which is nourishment for the mind, heart and soul. To put it in a more active way, we are nourishing ourselves and nourishing the person we are to become. I also believe that through prayer, patience and silence, we will feel His presence, quietly releasing our anxieties. For, Jesus Christ is our Shepherd and he is always close by especially when looking to the cross.
“The greatest obstacles to holiness are discouragement and anxiety.” Jesus to St Faustina
I have had plenty of discouragements over these past few years and have suffered with anxiety but to know both are great obstacles to holiness. Women of Faith and Hope, I believe good moments happen when we least expect it, no matter how small or big it is.
I hope you are all having a great week, God Bless Always

Family
God says you are day 12 Family
‘A family is a unit made up of little and big portions.’
My favorite Christmas movie is While you were sleeping, after watching it, I always wanted to meet someone who would show me the world and be my everything.
I always wanted my own family, having somewhere to go, someone to love, knowing both are incredible blessings. I like this quote, it sums up my family; “No family is perfect we argue, we fight, we even stop talking to each other at times, but in the end, family is family, the love will always be there.” I was the middle child of my family and an Aries. So, you could just imagine what my family life was like growing up. (I love you Mumma.) Sometimes, it feels though being the wife and mum in the family is like being the glue. Keeping all the pieces together. Being the stronghold. The day begins when the sun comes up and the day ends when the sun goes down. I like proverbs 31:10-31, an alphabetic, poem on the perfect wife. It sums up the hard labor every woman of God, works for to keep he family together as a unit.
Proverbs 31:15
‘She finds her labor well worthwhile, her lamp does not go out at night. ‘
I hope you all enjoyed 'Mother Ministry' what a great way to start back with what God says you are.

My Children day 8
Mother Ministry day 8
1 Samuel 1:27 ‘this is the child I prayed for, and the LORD granted me what I asked him.’
My children, I watch you take shortcuts through the bush on the path, I watch has you take the shortcut and climb the tree trunks, I watch has you take a shortcut and climb over a fence instead of going through it. Remember going on many bear hunts, “you can’t go over it, you can’t go under it. We will have to go through it. “I can give you hope, even though I get scared that many of your shortcuts in life might wake up certain animals, whether it be a bear, crocodile or a snake. Wherever you are going, God has walked that path and has paved the way. My children, you can do anything through Christ, for he will give you courage and strength.
I hope you are all enjoying you week God Bless Always

'Come as you are.'
“There’s hope for the hopeless and all those who have strayed, come sit at the table, come taste the Grace.” Author Unknown.
God’s message, ‘Come as you are,’ and we all know the hymn. Sometimes it’s hard to be who you are, to be your true self. There is a fear of judgement from others, comparing yourself with another and sometimes our lives are so busy that we find it hard to keep a look out for Jesus passing by, with our special invitation, an invitation to come and sit as we are, the way he wants us, he wants us to be at home, loved and forgiven. There is no reason to stand alone, no need to fear, for love sets no limits and has no end. Listen to God whispering to your heart and remember that anything is possible. Don’t run away, he came not only to the virtuous, but he came to call sinners, every time we fail, never doubt or think he would love you the less. I like Hebrews 13:8 ‘Jesus Christ is the same today as he was yesterday and as he will be forever.’ This makes me believe, nothing can ever change his love for us, for his love will be the same today, as it was yesterday, and his love will be forever. Don’t be afraid to accept that sometimes in our busy, hectic lives we need help.
Women of Faith and Hope, let me share with you a recipe:
One whole cup to, Climb
a sycamore, jacaranda or a ponsana tree,
Two cups too, come as
you are,
Three cups to, have
a change of heart to except
The invitation to
sit at the table with Jesus.
Then sprinkle with
an act of Love, kindness and compassion.
Do you hear the cry of the poor, broken, those who fear and stand alone?
So many in today’s world need help and there is too many to help, I have seen the writing on the toilet door, I have heard the cries of children, who were too afraid to ask for a book because their family couldn’t afford it, I have heard a lot of hardships and pain. If we don’t hear the cries of the poor and those who need our help. Our own cries will not be heard. Love one another, have faith and hope but also to Love and that is the greatest of all.
I hope you are all having a great week, God Bless Always

My Contrite Heart
“Beauty flows from a broken and humble heart that has been tested and purified by God.” Author unknown.
As I stand in the chapel reciting the Confiteor, like the tax collector, I beat on my breast, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. I am confessing or acknowledging my sins, my fault. I am feeling sorry for causing bruised feelings and for having to much pride and while I am beating on my breast, I am being humble wanting forgiveness. I am asking; “God. Be merciful to me, a sinner.” Luke 18:9-14. I am not going to lie, there has been times when I have been like the Pharisee and forgotten, that through prayer, how important it is to pray with a contrite heart. To humble myself, I need to start with a question, Am I committed to changing my attitude, behavior, my ways. Sometimes, we need to reflect on the past, so we can move forward and be a follower of God. To be humble, I need to take the time to really listen, to hear what people say, I need to accept the setbacks in my life, know at times, things aren’t going to go right, we are going to get knocked down and I guess it’s a matter of how we respond. Do we stay lying down, blaming others, making out that we are better, greater and have so much more to offer than the other person? Or do we get back up, keep going, keep growing, keep learning and knowing that in this life we need to Love, be kind and to have courage. I like proverbs 11:2 "Pride comes first, disgrace comes after, with the humble is wisdom found."
Our lives aren’t a competition, no one should be competing, it’s all about being real, being humble, being able to share who we are with the lives of others and it’s also about being grateful. Let me leave you with a question and feel free to share your answers.
Psalm 115:12 How can I repay the Lord for his goodness to me?
Women of Faith and Hope, I repay the Lord, God, for the mercy he has shown me, the kindness, his compassion. The times when he has cleansed me from my sins, through the truth in my heart, secretly he teaches my heart wisdom. Through his goodness, he has created a pure heart and steadfast spirit. Before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful, offering my sacrifice and praying with a humbled and contrite heart. I repay, with an open and honest heart, with the love, kindness, and compassion, I share with the lives of others. .
May God Bless always, Women of Faith and Hope.

A Woman of Tears
Have you ever felt as though, your gifts and talents were taken for granted? Was the idea of supporting, encouraging and inspiring to Women of Faith and Hope, such a crazy dream, idea or does the person who takes you for granted and says no all the time, feel threatened or jealous. What I don’t understand is, we have so much in common, we have so much passion and desire to see our dreams come true and yes, I do dream, you are not the only one with dreams, a vision, a goal and a mission in life. My heart breaks for women, who are anxious, overwhelmed, feeling hopeless, and their burdens are so heavy that they are weighing them down. As a mum, wife, I understand what it is like to have a basket of washing still sitting on the lounge or in my case on the bed, waiting to be folded and to be put away. I know when the clock says 4:45pm, I must start preparing dinner, while asking my beautiful babies, to stop fighting and to clean up their rooms. It’s not easy, it’s exhausting. Women are crying out to the Lord and continually prays, and he will answer “Here I am.” I guess, it’s easy to push someone away and to never be grateful for what they offer and sacrifice at the table of Jesus Christ or the altar of the Lord. Maybe, they only see and hear the “burden of the Lord.”
I pray for the person who takes us all for granted, I pray they become humble and to start to believe in the gifts and talents of those who walk through the door, they start appreciating and never to take someone for granted. I believed in you, so I am asking you to believe in me. That is what you do, when you love someone, you take them as they are, like Jesus takes you for who you are and loves you for who you are.
We take a lot for granted and we take those who enter our life for granted, the lessons we are supposed to learn, to help us grow as a human being, Sometimes, that is our purpose in life to be a mirror for someone, this is who you are and this is what you have to become, other wise history will repeat itself and you will do it all over again, until you get it right, until you learn your lesson in life. Maybe that’s why so many of us are tired and our souls are weary.
“You don’t see me, but I see you, you don’t hear me, but I hear you, you don’t understand me, but I understand you, you don’t know me, but I know you.”

My Hope
Psalm 60:1, O God, hear my cry! Listen to my prayer.
I want to tell you a story. A few months ago, I was sick and after I had my iron infusion, they told me that it would take a while to feel the full effect and it might feel as though you have the flu. Well, it took eight weeks but during those eight weeks, I was so sick and was really not happy, happy with my situation, happy within myself and I remember, crying and crying and in my moment of hopelessness, I decided to pray to God for help, for his Fatherly love, I felt as though my only hope was in God and his love for me. Fifth teen minutes later, the doorbell rang and a man was standing there, selling books and the book he showed me, and this is so true, was a book on how to eat healthy, living a healthy life and it suggested, more Vitamin B and C, fresh fruit and vegetables, going for a walk, vitamin D, walking or sitting in the sun. While I was talking to this man and he was selling me on the idea of the book, the wind around us was so strong and I could feel that it was the presence of the Holy Spirit and our Great God, answered my prayer. I brought four books for ten dollars because that is all I could afford, those books where The Ministry of Healing, Darkness before the Dawn (finding hope for the future), happiness Digest, you turn which was a smaller version of the book he was promoting. I was so surprised, and I said, “O My God!” You answered me, and I called my mum and told her what happened, straight away.
What is your desert of despair, your place of parched hopelessness?
My other place of desert of despair, the place where I was parched with hopelessness, happened a few years ago and ended, when I heard the message of Christ. In all the richness, not only did it find a home with me, I found a home in the message of Christ. I remember through my desert of despair, I placed my trust and hope in the wrong people and before finding my home in Jesus Christ, my hope was in their judgement, and for them to see justice done for me. Until the day I was made to realise, that God sees and hears all through our desert of despair and I must hold fast to hope. Placing my hope in God, I knew he would see justice done, for all the tears, I have cried to him day and night, even when he delays and stays silent before he helps. God is not an unjust judge. He judges fairly and he would never feel as though it was a burden. God loves us and in today’s world, when the son of man comes, he will find many on this earth with faith, faith in him, faith in his message. There will always be hope in the cross, there is hope in his great glory, from the wind and rain of our storm, comes an abundant of growth and a beautiful life. Every morning, I place my hope in God, to be patient, to never be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer, continual prayer. He is God, the faithful God. My hope is in him.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us be confident, then, in approaching the throne of grace, that we shall have mercy from him and find grace when we need help.

My Children day 3
Mother Ministry day 3
Ephesians 4:32 Be friends with one another and kind, forgiving each other as readily as God forgave you in Christ.
My Children, it is so impossible for us to understand, that we are all the same, we belong to the one body, one spirit, we laugh the same, our tears are the same, a frown conveys the same message, whatever the race. A smile can light up the same way on any face, our emotions are universal, we all have the same human basics of shelter, food, clothing and love are equally required. Our needs are the same and as human beings this is what we all share. Maybe in our prayer, we need to ask the question. Am I ready, am I ready to receive the Lord, Jesus Christ in my life? To listen to your words, to live by example and more? My children, I like this quote “For, to live without him, is to live a life without LOVE.” Author unknown. He died for us on the cross and the cross is the key to heaven. If you are ready, then there is no excuses for bickering, holding grudges, choosing sides and giving someone the silent treatment. Let us also include in our prayer for God to give us more love, to each one of us to share, God wants to be the next to be with us, he is always waiting on the line to be with you.
