What makes Deborah a hero?

• Deborah was a wise woman when God’s people had problems, they came to her, she helped them to understand and obey God’s commands.
• One day, the enemies attacked, the commander refused to lead his soldiers into battle unless Deborah went with them. So bravely Deborah led the way.

What makes Samson a hero?

Samson was the strongest man in the whole world. God gave him the strength to knock down an entire stadium with one giant push. Once Samson pulled the city gates right off the hinges.

Our sixth bible hero is Joshua.

What makes Joshua a hero?

• ·       Joshua became the leader of God’s people after Moses had died.
• ·       Joshua was told to destroy the wicked city of Jericho.
• ·       Joshua and his people were told to destroy it by marching around and around the city walls.
• ·       God’s people were confused and didn’t know how they could possibly win a battle just by marching but Joshua trusted God.
• ·       Joshua gave the signal the everyone let out a great shout of praise to God, the earth shook, and the city walls came crashing down!

What makes Moses a hero?

• ·       Moses led God’s people out of Egypt away from the wicked King.
• ·       Moses knew God would help his people, so Moses raised his staff, a mighty wind blew, and the waters parted.
• ·       Moses was a great leader of his time.

Our fourth bible hero is Miriam.

What makes Miriam a hero?

There was a baby named Moses, his mother had laid him in a basket and hid it among the reeds by the riverbank. Miriam, his older sister was very brave, she stood and kept watch over baby Moses’s day after day. One day, the King’s daughter saw Moses in the basket and felt sorry for him, so she took him back to the palace to live with her. Miriam knew Moses would be safe within the palace.

Our third bible hero is Joseph.

 

 Our third bible hero is Joseph.

What makes Joseph a hero?

·       Joseph’s father loved him very much and he gave him a beautiful coat of many colors, however Joseph’s brothers were jealous.

·       Joseph’s brothers were so jealous they sold him as a slave, far away in Egypt.

·       God watched over Joseph as he grew up because he had plans for him.

·       With God’s help Joseph told Pharaoh that the dream he had meant hungry times were coming and that he had to start storing up food for his people.

·       Years later Pharaoh’s dream came true, and Joseph became King!

·       All the food he’d stored up was enough to feed all the people in the land.

·       Joseph understood God’s plans and he forgave his brothers what they had done to him.
