A Pondering Heart

“In the sacred Heart, every treasure of wisdom and knowledge is hidden. In that Divine Heart beats God’s infinite love for everyone, for each one of us individually.” Blessed John Paul II

I have always felt alone, but what I know now is that I am not alone and a few weeks ago my son was getting upset and complaining how God doesn’t do anything for us and he allows all this suffering and pain and if that is the case he doesn’t really exist. There was something in my son that I recognized it was me, that was me I used to, and I will admit I sometimes still feel that way. Where is God? Who is God? Why does he abandon us? So, I called my son over to me and I explained to him that God lives in each of us, and it is through us that others can experience God.

We are now imitators, flowing rivers of the living water can we stop now and ponder all that God does for us even when we doubt and think it is not worth it. All that we learn, all that we read and hear throughout scripture and by observing Jesus we must keep it in our hearts for when we hear our children speak with such anger against God we can provide a special type of treasure that comes from deep within our heart and soul. Help a child to ponder over the treasure of wisdom and knowledge that is hidden because in time it will be revealed believe me it took years for me to understand and know who and what God was all about and I am still learning each day I learn something new and it blows my mind. I am in awe of it all.

The Heart Of The Living Water.

Now that we are imitators of the sacred heart it is our turn to allow the living water to flow. We go out and share our faith and our hopes with the people we love, we become the women at the empty tomb or the woman at the well. Joyfully, women of Faith and Hope we allow our faith to flow freely if we except what Jesus has to give, give from His heart. It is about taking what he has given but not keeping it rather we give it away because from the springs of salvation we were saved isn't it only fair we share that with others. We can't close our hearts off to people we don't like, we need to be opened to be a flowing river of living water.

Imitators Of The Sacred Heart.

To imitate Jesus, we must move closer to him, we must observe and understand his ways and virtues.

John 5:17-19, His answer to them was, ‘My Father goes on working, and so do I.’ But that only made the Jews even more intent on killing him, because, not content with breaking the sabbath, he spoke of God as his own Father, and so made himself God’s equal. To this accusation Jesus replied. ‘I tell you most solemnly, the Son can do nothing by himself, he can do only what he sees the Father doing; and whatever the Father does the Son does too.

For Jesus shows us everything he has done and he shows even greater things works that will astonish us.

A Promising Heart

For those who honor the Sacred Heart there are at least twelve promises that Jesus told St. Margaret Mary. The following are the twelve promises of The Sacred Heart of Jesus.

1.     “I will give to my faithful all the graces necessary in their state of life.”

2.     “I will bring peace to their homes.”

3.     “I will comfort them in all their sufferings.”

4.     “I will be their safe refuge against all the snares of their enemies in life, and above all in death.”

5.     “I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings.”

6.     “Sinners shall find in My Heart the source and the infinite ocean of mercy.”

7.     “Fervent souls shall mount to high perfection.”

8. “I will bless every home in which an image of My Heart will be honored.”

9. “Tepid souls shall become fervent.”

10 “I will give to the priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.”

111“Those who promote this devotion shall have their names written in My Heart, never to be effaced.”

12“To all who receive communion on the First Friday of the month, for nine consecutive months, I will grant the grace of final repentance.”

Symbols Of The Heart

The first love of the sacred heart began with the beloved Apostle, St. John the Evangelist. It is written during the Last Supper he reclined his head upon the breast of Jesus, and he was the first to have heard the pulsation of the Divine Heart.  The sacred heart of Jesus is known as a font of love and with that love the church was born and is supposed to nourish all of us well that is our hope.

“Behold the Heart which has so loved the world that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming itself, in order to testify its love; and in return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in the Eucharist.” Revelation of the Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary, June 1675.

The Heart

Why the heart? This is a very good question we all know the heart is a muscle that pumps blood received from veins into arteries throughout the body and it is positioned between our lungs and in the middle of our chest, behind and slightly to the left of our breastbone or the sternum. Another good question is how can our hearts love? Why are our hearts filled with so much love? Well as history tells us our hearts are associated and connected to love that is why the heart is such a great symbol also that our brain and our hearts are so connected. Our brains control everything in our bodies down to our emotions, feelings and thought pattern. For example, if I tell my heart to love with all my heart, with all my might and soul I am going to follow through on that but if I tell my heart I can’t love another because they have hurt me so much then my heart won’t be opened to love, or to be able to trust.

Now and then, someone comes along and whispers not into our ear but into our hearts, kisses not our lips but our souls and for me this has happened but the more I grow in faith, the more I learn about Jesus the more I hear, the more I see it becomes too hard to walk away from especially when I spend time in prayer or in silence with God. The sacred heart of Jesus is Love, it is God’s divine love for each one of us it has come from the center of the person of the son, incarnated and pierced by our sins. However, we are invited to contemplate and to look deeply into the sacred heart of Jesus who has a merciful love for the whole world.

So, Women of Faith and Hope let us take a closer look at the heart of Jesus this June because my heart has lost it's way and it thirsts, what I have longed for has been awakened by the touch of God who lives within. This journey I hope to feel love and passion, to realize my story continues and I want to recommit myself to my faith and hope.

Happy Mother's Day! 2022

The story of the good shepherd in today’s Gospel reminds me of my motherhood and my beautiful babies because as much as I know my children, they know me probably more than I know myself. There is no doubt that my children belong to me both are little versions of who I once was. Do they listen to me? Not all the time, I do have to repeat myself on occasion but that is a skill we are working on. Do they follow me? No, but usually they walk beside me one on either side and when my son walks out in front, I call him back and he stands right by my side where it’s safe and familiar. I did however help to give them life, a life that would be always full of love, joy, and whenever they have felt lost, alone, or afraid they know the one they can come back too, the one who protects them from harm or any danger because let me tell you no one would ever dare steal them from me whoever does has to answer to me. Like Jesus I was given two gifts that I will always treasure for the rest of my life and like God and Jesus are one my children and I are one, they are a part of me a part that is always crying out for joy that can reach the ends of the earth.

So, let us pray. Deep down God I know I am so blessed, blessed to be able to serve people with joy and love in my heart, blessed to thank God for the big things and the little things that make such a huge difference in my life. May God Bless Always, Women of Faith and Hope have an amazing day. 💐🌻🌷🌹
