Is It I Lord, you call? Listen!
I hear his voice calling in the summer breeze, in the sight of the trees moving
and leaves rustling. Listen! I hear his voice calling when the sky is grey and
it starts to rumble, I hear his mighty voice in the wind that is so powerful
and peaceful.
One of the most well-known hymns sung in church and is one of my favorites is “Here I am, Lord.” By Daniel L. Schutte & New Dawn Music.
Do you hear
the Lord calling in the night?
Will we go
if he leads us?
Will we hold
his people in our arms?
Sometimes,
we will listen and listen again but never quite understand, we see and see
again, but not perceive. Each week, The Gospel, is preached to the whole world
and this is an invitation for us to respond effectively with true faith.
When
we respond and answer the call, we are called because there is always work that
God needs each one of us to do. For we are called to speak up for injustice,
the unwanted, we are to love one another as he as loved us, we are called to be
humble, to put the needs of others before our own, we are to share bread with
the hungry, shelter the homeless poor, to clothe the naked. We are made to make
a difference in this world Women of Faith and Hope.
God has called us all to a
life of peace, we do not need to fear for the Lord guides our steps and makes
safe the path, though we might stumble we shall never fall for our Lord holds
our hand. There are plans for all of us, plans for peace, not disaster,
reserving a future full of hope.
May God Bless Always,
Women of Faith and Hope
