Who is St. John the Apostle?

 

Here is some trivia on St. John the Apostle.

John the Apostle, son of Zebedee and Salome, brother of James and a beloved Apostle of Jesus according to the New Testament. St. John is identified as John the Evangelist, John of Patmos, John the elder and the beloved Disciple who is known for love and friendship. According to some researchers St. John the Apostle outlasted the remaining apostles and died natural causes.
