St. John
“I am love and mercy itself. There is no misery that could be a match for my mercy, neither will misery exhaust it, because as it is being granted, it increases.” Christ to Saint Faustina as recorded int eh Diary of St. Faustina, 1273, Page 459.

Kindness Quotes.
“Let no one
ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression
of God’s kindness. Kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in
your smile.” Mother Teresa. If you like that quote from Mother Teresa, then you
will love the quotes I found from The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation
website. Here is a link for you to look at.

Kindness
I totally understand that World Kindness Day is on Monday the 13th of November, but I really want to share kindness with you all now. Maybe I am preparing us all for that day or maybe I am inspiring and encouraging us to live with kindness everyday of our lives. Therefore, what does kindness mean? Kindness is being friendly, generous, and considerate. Health direct suggests people who are kind and compassionate have more happiness in their lives, healthier relationships and have better mental and physical wellbeing. I often feel much better when someone has been kind to me and research shows that this is true for those who are vulnerable, those recovering from depression, or those who have an addiction. Any form or act of kindness can increase and speed up the recovery process. So, what are some ways we can be kind to someone? We can be positive, sensitive, help solve problems, we might like to treat someone to a cup of coffee, send a note in a lunch box and I sometimes put notes in my children’s lunchboxes, and they love it. Kindness is a full circle once you give it, it comes right back to you, you feel happier and stronger for it.
I found a video that explains kindness a little bit better than I can,
it’s called the science of kindness from The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation.
I hope you enjoy.
May God Bless Always.

Who is St. John the Apostle?
John the Apostle, son of Zebedee and Salome, brother of
James and a beloved Apostle of Jesus according to the New Testament. St. John
is identified as John the Evangelist, John of Patmos, John the elder and the
beloved Disciple who is known for love and friendship. According to some
researchers St. John the Apostle outlasted the remaining apostles and died
natural causes.

The Beloved Disciple of Jesus Christ.
The Beloved Disciple of Jesus Christ.
There are many debates and disagreements when it comes to
who is the author of the Gospel of John but when I read the Gospel of John, I
see a figure who is a beloved disciple and example for many of us.
How can we be symbolic figures of a disciple who was close
to Jesus at the Last Supper? John 13:23, ‘The disciple Jesus loved was
reclining next to Jesus.’ Can we too share in the passion of Jesus? And can we
behold the mother of God? Seeing his mother and the disciple he loved standing
near her, Jesus said to his mother ‘woman, this is your son.’ Then to the
disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ And from that moment the disciple made
a place for her in his home.
St. John teaches us to believe as he believed and he
believed in the resurrection 20:8, ‘Then the other disciple who had reached the
tomb first also went in, he saw, and he believed.’ Because of his belief and
the love, trust, and confidence he shared with Jesus he has the eternal
Christian message of life, truth, love, and honesty. John 21:20:24, Peter
turned and saw the disciple Jesus loved following then, the one who had leaned
on his breast at the supper and had said to him, ‘Lord, who is it that will
betray you?’ Seeing him, Peter said to Jesus, ‘What about him, Lord?’ Jesus
answered, ‘If I want him to stay, behind till I come, what does it matter to
you? You are to follow me.’ The rumor then went out among the brothers that
this disciple would not die, Yet Jesus have not said to Peter, ‘He will not
die.’ But ‘if I want him to stay behind till, I come.’ This disciple is the one
who vouches for these things and has written them down, and we know that his
testimony is true.
John 11:25-26, Jesus said, ‘I am the resurrection. If anyone
believes in me, even though he dies he will live, and whoever lives and
believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?’
No matter what we find and what research may tell us it
comes down to what we believe and what speaks to us from reading the Gospel of
John. We all have different perspectives, and we are inspired and encouraged to
act out the word of God in different ways. I believe that there is life after
death or some spiritual existence after we die, and I believe that we can live
the best way we can while we are still alive, and Jesus supports and cheers us
on as we run our races in a hostile world. But what he commands and expects of
us all is to love one another John 15:17.
So, challenge yourselves to love yourself, love your
neighbor and love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and body.

St. John the Apostle.
St. John the Apostle.
When I started reading the Gospel, I started at The Gospel
According to John and the words I would read opened my heart and mind to the
everlasting love God has for all of us. It’s hard to believe that God could love
me so much, but he does, and we are constantly reminded of that when we read
John 3:16, ‘Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that
everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life.’ Eternal
life that is a gift from knowing Jesus Christ, it is a quality of life, it is
gaining the truth and practicing and living out the word of God every day.
First letter of St John 1:1-14, Something which has existed
since the beginning, that we have heard, and we have seen with our own eyes;
that we have watched and touched with our hands; the Word, who is life- this is
our subject. That life was made visible: we saw it and we are giving our
testimony, telling you of the eternal life which was with the father and has
been made visible to us. What we have seen and heard we are telling you so that
you too may be in union with us, as we are in union with the Father and with
his Son Jesus Christ. We are writing this to you to make our own joy complete.
How can we make known what we have seen and heard from
knowing Jesus Christ?
I love this quote by St. John the Evangelist “our love
should not be just words and talk, it must be true love, which shows itself in
action.” This is very true, we can make known what we have seen and heard by
reflecting love, truth, light and the work of Christ. 1 John 3:18, ‘My
children, our love is not to be just words or mere talk, but something real and
active.’ I have said it before the word of God is alive and active and it is up
to us to keep it alive and active circulating around our families, friends, and
communities we may belong to.
So, let us remain faithful to Christ for there will be a
share in the triumph of Christ and God.
John 17:3 ‘And eternal life is this: to know you, the only
true God, and Jesus Christ who you have sent.’

First Station with Mary
First
Station: Jesus is Condemned to Die.
John 19:6
When they
saw him the chief priests and the guards shouted, ‘crucify him! Crucify him!’ Pilate
said, ‘take him yourselves and crucify him: I can find no case against him.’
What crowd
are you shouting from? After listening to the Passion on Palm Sunday, it made me
think what crowd I am a part of and what am I shouting?’ Am I shouting ‘Hosanna!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord?’ Or am I shouting, ‘Crucify
him!’
I would
like to think I would be in the crowd shouting ‘Hosanna!’ I know there are
times in my life where I have judged and wanted the worst things to happen to
some people but when I read the first station and walk with Mary, I understand
that she is teaching us to love and be kind to one another. How do you think Mary
felt when she heard the crowd shout ‘Crucify him?’ I could only assume she was confused, and her heart was broken by many voices yelling and crying out ‘Crucify
him!’.
May God Bless Always
