Let’s look
at the word ‘Blessing.’ The word blessing comes from an old English word ‘Bledsian’
which is based on the word blood or to ‘consecrate with blood.’ In Latin the
word ‘blessing’ translates to ‘benedicere’ meaning to praise or worship. In
Hebrew ‘barak’ means blessing and praise. The word blessing surely has praise
and worship attached to it and it can be commonly known to wish someone well or
good fortune. In the bible a blessing is God’s way of keeping his promises for
a great future.
