God always sees our potential in the beginning he knew what he had created was good we are always given another chance to do good.

Liberation is watching your children playing in the rain.
Liberation is feeling their excitement when they see two rainbows in the sky.
Liberation is knowing that there is a God who seeks to find the lost and bring them back home to celebrate and feast.
Liberation is realizing how truly blessed one is when they have found true love.
Liberation is understanding that we must love our God, ourselves, and one another.
My hope is to find freedom in being who I am supposed to be and to be free to do what I ought to be doing. I also hope that this Advent you find comfort in knowing how much God loves you and how his words can liberate a soul and change a heart. For it’s the wise words we hear and receive from mass on a Sunday, the wisdom we hear from someone we love, it’s the words we read on a sign, in a book or on Facebook that releases us from our sins and liberates us from our pain, heartaches or the past. You see, words are an element of speech or writing and words can empower, encourage, and inspire. God choose to reveal himself in his words, the Gospel, the Bible, so, we can accept his invitation of love and friendship. He shows himself and every time we fall, we have enough hope to be saved. The word of God truly does set us free and if the word of God is always preached in the world there will always be light and freedom. So, use your words wisely for our words and God’s words have power to impact others as well as making an impact on ourselves.
Because finding comfort in God reassures me of his love and his ways so that we may walk his paths and walk in his light. By walking in the light of our Lord we become aware of who we are and the things we need in life. In our creators design we are worthy and enough in fact we are like flowers, I consider myself to be like a sunflower who is content in knowing that I am to be a light in someone’s darkness even my own.
This week take some time and reflect on words that change and liberate you, remember this is your life no one can take away your freedom. When I am freed and my liberation is near, I get to be myself, who I am supposed to be so allow God to accompany you this advent and Christmas.

Well, our Advent journey is about to begin, and I
truly believe this Advent is an Advent of promises. What do I mean? I mean
every year we are to prepare and search deep down in our heart and soul for the
greatest promise ever made. The return of our Savior Jesus Christ who returns
each year as a precious baby boy who takes away our sins and brings new life
into this world.
Throughout
scripture we are promised so much
· If we
search, we will find him.
· We
will be protected.
· We are
promised salvation.
· His
love will never end.
· Spiritual
blessings, peace, and The Holy Spirit.
· Also,
that Jesus promises us rest, comfort, abundance, and eternal life.
The
promises go on and on, but do we trust and believe that God will deliver and
keep his promises?
Making
a promise means making a commitment you must see it through because you have
made a promise. Breaking a promise is not really ok it suggests you are not
reliable, faithful, or trustworthy.
So, I have been reading Celebrating Advent with the Jesse Tree, by Rev. Jude Winkler, OFM Conv. Therefore, I thought we could decorate our own Jesse tree and call it our promise tree. Each time I share a verse we will decorate our promise tree. I also thought it would be cool to share our own promises for Advent.
What
is your Advent promise for 2022?
My
advent promise is to
· Be
more patient with my children.
· To
rest more and take it easy.
· To be
obedient when it comes to consuming food.
· To be
mindful of those less fortunate and in need of love and support.
· To
fall in love with my life.
· To finding
my inner strength in Jesus Christ.
· And to
engage more in prayer.

Blessings are truly for any occasion; we might
offer a blessing before a child plays a game of football or before they sit an
exam. I believe we are all blessed in this life, we have different gifts,
talents, abilities and are capable of so much.
This year we have learnt to trust in God and
aspire and live with the same traits Jesus describes and more than ever the
Beatitudes have great relevance and power to change people’s lives. Let’s
celebrate how it’s a blessing to be able to possess the same qualities as our
Lord Jesus Christ who sends down his grace and peace to each one of us.
We are also blessed to be a cosmic light,
radiant with divine essence after all light is good, it is a symbol of God’s work
in our lives and when I take time to contemplate all his works in my life, I
understand what a blessing it is to die with Christ and rise into new light. As
we approach Advent and Christmas let’s remember that God’s favor is always upon
us and that we are the innkeepers.
Like Mary our mother of God, will our souls proclaim
the greatness of the Lord? Will our spirits exult in God our savior?
On our journey we have been so blessed to get
close to the heart of Jesus, to grow in love, passion and to attain an intimate
relationship with a God who is merciful, a neighbor, a friend, a healer, and Our
Father.
But the greatest blessing of all is coming to the
realization of what family means and how lucky we all are to have people in our
lives that love us, support, and encourage us every day of our lives.
I want to say thank you for a great journey
this year and I am looking forward to the journey next year it’s going to be
very different, new but exciting. I don’t
know where we will head but I know that we will be blessed because the Lord
will be with us always.

Do you count your blessings?
Counting our blessings reminds us that we
always must be thankful for our everyday lives and for those who are in our
lives, the ones we love, our families and our friends. Counting our blessings
can also make us feel better and hopeful.

Are blessings important?
Blessings are important however if we
give blessings, we have the potential to do good or to cause harm. So, we must
remember that our tongues and our touch have great power especially if we have
invoked the Holy Spirit to be with us. Because through any blessing God’s power
is always behind it you could say that blessings are seen as an instrument of
his love for us.

Blessing
The word
blessing
Let’s look
at the word ‘Blessing.’ The word blessing comes from an old English word ‘Bledsian’
which is based on the word blood or to ‘consecrate with blood.’ In Latin the
word ‘blessing’ translates to ‘benedicere’ meaning to praise or worship. In
Hebrew ‘barak’ means blessing and praise. The word blessing surely has praise
and worship attached to it and it can be commonly known to wish someone well or
good fortune. In the bible a blessing is God’s way of keeping his promises for
a great future.
