This journey surely feels as though I have been brought back to
true life with Christ. As the saying goes, “out
with the old, in with the new.” So, how do I live this new life? We live our
new lives in Christ by setting our minds on
things above in the Kingdom of Heaven, but I would say that we try and live our
life the best way we can, doing good for others,
being kind, compassionate, patient, respectful and loving. I love how we have been on a forty-day journey through Lent
and Holy Week, we have explored and become
intimate with Jesus on his way to Calvary. This is an occasion to rejoice! And rise
for our light has come and it is risen for
us this Easter. Women of Faith and Hope, I do hope you all have a great Easter with your families and eat lots of Chocolate.
May God Bless Always,

“Lent comes providentially, to awaken us, to shake us from our
lethargy”. (Pope Francis)
Ash Wednesday is a holy day that starts Lent – the way to
spiritual preparation for Holy Week and Easter.
Ash Wednesday helps us recognize Christ and his grace.
The day affirms we are dust, as ashes are placed on our
foreheads. The cross represents Jesus
and how he redeems us. We are encouraged
to seek repentance with humble hearts.
Let us pray this prayer as we step into Lent:
Merciful God, you called us forth from the dust of the earth;
you claimed us for Christ in the waters of baptism. Look upon us as we enter
these Forty Days bearing the mark of ashes, and bless the journey through the
desert of Lent. Guide our steps this
Lent, so that we might find greater fulfillment in your promises and better
serve others with a heart that is reflective of you. Amen.
I turned my face to the Lord God begging for time to pray and to
plead with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.
Recently, I heard someone say, “we lose our way when we
lose our why?” Then they continued to ask some questions such as do we know
what we believe? Do we know why we believe? And my favorite question and one
that I have been pondering over, why do I believe? Women of Faith and Hope,
this Lent lets come to Jesus with all our hearts, fasting, weeping, mourning and
almsgiving.
Over these forty days, I will share the word of God, a
video that helps us to journey with our little ones and I want to challenge
myself by going for a forty minute walk every morning or evening. Because that
is what Lent is all about, going deeper and exploring who we are as individuals,
and as daughters and women of a Father who sees all and knows all. Lent for me
this year is about finding my way and my why again also like George Harrison from
the Beatles, I really want to know God, our Sweet Lord, and the truth.
I hope you all can endure and feel empowered to keep
walking with God no matter how hard it gets, physically, emotionally, and
mentally because the journey can burn us out so easily. Keep walking, now I am no angel
and even if I try to be please know I walk with you and pray for you all and most
importantly so does God. Happy Lenten Season.
May God Bless Always, Women of Faith and Hope.
