Pray, Serve and Preach.

Romans 10:17 So faith comes from what is preached, and what is preached comes from the word of Christ.

The Gospels give testimonial evidence to the life and teaching of Jesus Christ. Through out history we have heard and read about the many characters, stories, traditions, and the lessons. With our faith, trust, and confidence, we open our hearts, ears, and eyes to learn of nothing but the truth, the truth, that we must pass on or hand down to the next generation and the generation after that, shaping their lives and hoping they might believe. Believe in the word, believe in the actions of Jesus and those who follow him.

In today’s world, so many walk alone, I do however believe we are all chosen with the power to change a life, to share our faith and to never allow anyone to walk this journey alone. I do find it amazing, that so many people preach the Gospel and spend time in prayer, though I have witnessed how some may be good at preaching and spending time in prayer, but they are neglecting to dedicate their time and work to heal, to cast our demons and I might just add, they help those who live in darkness to see the light and love of our God.

After all that is why he came, why Jesus came, to fully dedicate himself to a mission set out by his Father, our Father in heaven, to heal, to cast out demons, to preach and to build a church, a home, place, shelter, and a refuge, to all those who are poor, sick, marginalized, overlooked, rejected, lonely, afraid, and anxious.

Who though, gives us the strength, the instructions, a how to guide to be able to write, speak, proclaim or to preach the gospel, the word of God?

Is it through prayer, meditation and in the stillness of our busy life, that we find Jesus, God, and Holy Spirit, to guide us, to lead us, to help us even to encourage and inspire us to stand up, to post a verse or a reflection of God’s love for us all?

I recently purchased the new Fatima movie on DVD, and It was so beautiful and Mary, our Lady was saying to the three Children, “Pray, you must pray all the time.” ‘Pray without ceasing,’ like the verse from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Be always happy; pray constantly; and for things give thanks to God, because this is what God expects you to do in Christ Jesus.

For me, it is really in those moments where there are no distractions, it is quiet and peaceful, no children running around, yelling, or screaming, no husband demanding my time, that I can absolutely give my full attention to the presence of God and the needs of the world such as peace and love. Certainly, I do take prayer for granted and somehow do not fully understand how important prayer life is.  I see this in three parts or in three steps; First, we make time for prayer, second, we serve the needs of others and thirdly, we preach the Gospel, share the word of God, or tell someone how you heard a great story on the weekend, do you want to hear it?

He is with us, Women of Faith and Hope, he is waiting in the wind for us to hold out our hand or possibly for us to take his hand and walk with him, to sit with him or just to be with him. Jesus is our savior, comforter, friend, and lover.

May God Bless Always,
