Women of Faith and Hope, Nature and walks are
helping me, and I am so thankful for his presence. If the presence of the Holy
Spirit, is in us, how is it helping us? I guess we might say the spirit helps
in our weakness, a spirit who can choose the right words to pray, a spirit who
expresses our plea, my son suggested a wish to God. Romans 8:27 A God who knows
everything in our hearts. In our daily lives, there should never be a reason
not to help people, having someone help you is a blessing and it means you are
not alone. It leaves you feeling alive when you know you have helped someone,
or someone has helped you. This is an example of experiencing God’s presence in
our daily lives, the presence of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.
This Sunday is The Most Holy Trinity. The second
reading and the Gospel Acclamation really stand out for me, the words are so familiar,
powerful, great instructions for our lives. I was trying to think, I heard
those words before, of course the Introductory rites and the concluding rites
of mass. But, why are Introductory rites and concluding rites of the mass so
important? Well, it brings us all together and reminds us all that we are
different and unique. Yet, we are all gathered as one body, one people of God,
united, living in peace and the love of God. It’s an invitation to walk our
everyday life with faith in God, being obedient to God and to be in fellowship,
we never have to feel alone, or not good enough or worthy. It does make me sad
that some Christians, priests, leaders of any Christian denomination, are only
good at preaching and not putting their words into action and it’s like that
saying; “you are all talk but I see no action.” I think we do good, when we can
do both, talk and act at the same time. It’s like, sold, you are selling me
your ideas in your homilies, in your exclusive ministries, but I never see good
actions, you ask for help but you are ignored, dismissed, rejected, told you
are too demanding, being a bother, this is not the true essence of the presence
of the Most Holy Trinity, who dwells among us in the Spirit. For, God is a God
of tenderness, compassion, forgiveness, kindness and we are too marvel in his
unconditional love. Philippians 2:1-5 If our life in Christ means anything to
you, If love can persuade at all, or the Spirit that we have in common, or any
tenderness and sympathy, then be united in your convictions and united in your love,
with a common purpose and a common mind, that is the one thing which would make
me completely happy. There must be no competition among you, no conceit; but
everybody is to be self-effacing. Always consider the other person to be better
than yourself, so that nobody thinks of his own interests first, but everybody
thinks of other people’s interests instead. In your minds you must be the same
as Christ Jesus.
I truly believe we could all use the Faith and
Hope in the Second Reading and Gospel Acclamation. I pray it helps.
A reading from the second letter of St Paul to the
Corinthians.
Brothers, Sisters, we wish you happiness; try to
grow perfect; help one another. Be united; live in peace, and the God of love
and peace will be with you. Greet one another with the holy kiss, All the
saints send you greetings. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. The word of the Lord.
Gospel Acclamation;
Alleluia, alleluia! Glory to the Father, Son, and
the Holy Spirit; to God who is, who was and who is to come. Alleluia!
Revelations 1:8 “I am the Alpha, Omega,” says the
Lord God, who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
